Lile Wang’s research focuses on numerical simulations in astrophysics. He is now mainly interested in developing consistent methods for GPU-accelerated real-time computation methods, which efficiently co- evolve thermochemistry and radiation fields with (magneto-)hydrodynamic simulations, in realtime. These methods are applied to various types of astrophysical systems, including
• Protoplanetary disks,
• Exoplanet atmospheres,
• Galaxy clusters in cosmological simulations.
New tools and methods are also being developed to generate observational diagnostics (e.g. emission line profiles) for those systems to bridge simulations to observations.
