abstract:
This talk will try to give a timely review of dark matter physics. Dark matter is now one of the most important research areas in both astrophysics and particle physics. Yet, its non-gravitational property has not been firmly detected. This talk will start from the success of modern cosmology, showing the initial motivations of dark matter. The rest of the talk is devoted to provide a particle physicist's perspective on the non-gravitational property dark matter may have, and then to discuss how precision measurements in cosmology and astrophysics may help to solve some long-standing dark matter puzzles in the future.
