Abstract:
The formation and evolution of member galaxies within clusters of galaxies are distinct from those in the field environment. Clusters of galaxies consist of hundreds to thousands of galaxies, intracluster medium and dark matter. Various complex dynamical processes can reshape the stellar components of member galaxies, whereas the high-temperature intracluster medium can remove gas from member galaxies through processes like ram pressure stripping and halting their star formation. These mechanisms significantly influence the evolutionary process of member galaxies.
In this talk, I'll explore the environmental effect on galaxies based on an X-ray view. We focus on the active galactic nuclei and circumgalactic X-ray point sources in galaxy clusters, which reflects two crucial aspects of galaxies, namely, stellar components and nuclear activity. I'll introduce the our work on the intracluster X-ray population in nearby clusters and the enhanced nuclear activity in the Antlia cluster using Chandra data. Also, I'll talk about our fresh result of cluster nuclear properties based on eRASS1, and the future prospects of eROSITA data in this field.
