CANDELS survey: overview and a case study
Deep imaging surveys provide unprecedented insights into galaxy evolution. The CANDELS survey, the largest program of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), has amassed the first comprehensive high-resolution multiband imaging dataset of galaxies across a wide range of redshifts. This presentation will provide an overview of the CANDELS survey, including its main scientific objectives, data products, and the latest optimized photometric redshift catalog. Additionally, a pioneering study that utilizes a large sample from the CANDELS survey to analyze the structural properties of bulges and discs at high redshift will be presented, demonstrating the practical application of CANDELS data.
